My favourite subject

I love all the subjects in which we dance, but at least in this semester one of my favorite is a theoretical. It's name is "Historical and cultural context of the body in dance", in it we learn and study different relevant characters in the history of dance.

As its name says, in this subject we see the historical context in which dance has developed, especially in our country. And it's amazing to discover the importance that most of our teachers have had on the local scene.

Sometimes in the classes we see videos of works or documentaries, then we comment and analyze them. We also read some texts and talk about them, giving our opinion. And the best of all is our teacher, she is amazing. She always tells us anecdotes or lets us know "side b" of things. She has had the luck to be right at the right moments where she has met and worked with important characters in dance, such as Pina Baush. She was his assistant when he came to Chile!!

And the reason why I like this subjetc is because we learn to know the history of the way we dance, and why we receive some artistic education and not another.
